Sandra Marie Palmer (born August 4, 1969) is a Jamaican entrepreneur, motivational speaker, educator, business and management consultant, life coach and author. Sandra is best known for her Kingston, Jamaica based information technology company, SSP APTEC which she founded in 1997, eventually opening a branch in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2002. In 2014, Sandra went on to found Soulmates, a private international match-making social club for high net worth individuals and Peak Performance International, a consulting firm specializing in new business development, business strategy consulting, motivational speaking and executive coaching. In addition to her business endeavours, Sandra is also an academic. She currently lectures New Ventures and Entrepreneurship at the Mona School of Business and Management at the University of the West Indies, Mona and Managerial Economics and New Venture Creation at Northern Caribbean University. She describes herself as a serial entrepreneur and has received numerous awards and honours throughout her career. In 2010, the World Bank named her as one of the top female entrepreneurs in Latin America and the Caribbean. Sandra’s life and accomplishments have also been profiled on numerous Jamaican television and radio programs including ''On a Personal Note'' with Owen James, ''Profile'' with Ian Boyne, ''Conversations'' with Pat Ramsey, Television Jamaica's ''Smile Jamaica'', ''Beyond the Headlines'' with Dionne Jackson Miller” among others. She has also been featured numerous times in national newspapers, the Jamaica Observer for her "vision for excellence"〔 and the Jamaica Gleaner for "leading without fear". Sandra currently lives in Kingston, Jamaica with her daughter J’Nae Peart, and continues to “dream bigger dreams” in keeping with her personal mantra. ==Early life and education== Sandra was born in the small, rural community of Topsham located in Manchester, Jamaica to parents Linda and Eustace Palmer. Her mother (born November 9, 1938) was an elementary school teacher and her father (born January 22, 1925) was a farmer. Sandra would later recount in an interview on the Television Jamaica morning program, ''Smile Jamaica'', that a promise she made to her mother to always do her best, is the driving force behind her success.〔 Sandra is the oldest of three children and has two younger brothers: Steve Anthony Palmer (born February 22, 1971) and Gairey Lloyd Palmer (born April 19, 1972). She attended Coley’s Mountain Primary School from 1974 – 1980. Upon failing her first attempt at the Common Entrance Examination, she was sent to Nazareth All Age School in 1980 where she was successful in her second attempt at the Common Entrance Examination moving on to Bishop Gibson High School for Girls in Mandeville in 1981. She graduated from Bishop Gipson in 1986. After spending time briefly in the banking sector, Sandra began pursuing tertiary education in 1989 at the University of the West Indies, Mona. Sandra was soon after involved in a vehicular accident that resulted in a badly damaged ankle that threatened to sidetrack her educational pursuits. She took up exercising with the aim of strengthening the ankle in 1991, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree majoring in History, Political Science and Economics.〔 In 1997, earned her Masters of Business Administration (with Distinction) from Nova Southeastern University at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, where she specialized in General Management. In 2004, she completed her Doctorate in Business Administration with honours from Nova Southeastern University’s H.
